About The Position

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking an Advanced Clinical Dietitian to join their team. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients of all age groups and acuity levels. The position requires performing timely nutrition screenings and assessments, developing individualized nutritional care plans, and providing nutrition counseling to patients and their families. The hospital has been delivering exceptional healthcare services since 1974 and is recognized as a leading provider in northeast Florida.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent required.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program required.
• At least 3 years of hospital clinical nutrition experience required.
• Maintains CDR professional portfolio with at least 75 CPEU's within a 5 year period required.
• Registered Dietitian - State must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist-Advanced Pract, or (CSO) Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition, or (CNSC) Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or (RD/RDN) Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Perform timely nutrition screenings and assessments in accordance with the Corporate Screening and Assessment Policy.
• Conduct nutrition focused physical exams on patients at nutritional risk and train others as a NFPE champion.
• Develop and implement individualized nutritional care plans.
• Identify patient nutrition education needs and provide nutrition counseling to patients, family, and/or caregivers.
• Participate in the competency assessment process and achieve/maintain a passing score of 90% or higher on RD chart audits.
