About The Position

Pearson's Clinical Assessment Training Services team is in search of a part-time Advanced Associate, Education Specialist (Trainer of Early Childhood Assessments) with an educational background to deliver web-based, onsite product training and professional development. As an Advanced Associate, Educational Specialist, you play a key role in empowering educators and clinicians worldwide, directly supporting Pearson’s commitment to lifelong learning and positive change. This position requires a proven ability to take complex technical information and make it relevant to real-world practice. The ideal candidate should be organized, have excellent customer relations skills and a strong knowledge of adult-learning principles. This is a needs-based, part-time, hourly position.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • Current professional license
  • 15+ years of experience in educational environments
  • 5+ years of experience administering, scoring, and interpreting results from EC assessments, with preferred knowledge of DIAL-4, ESI-3, Work Sampling System, and The Ounce Scale.
  • 5+ years of experience training or coaching educators, staff, or administrators in the use of early childhood assessment tools.
  • Proficiency with Zoom and other webcast technologies for professional activities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience using various digital and in-person engagement strategies to facilitate active learning
  • Experience with using standardized professional development materials (PowerPoint, handouts, guides, etc.) and adapting trainings to meet individual customer needs
  • Proficient with interpreting normative and criterion-referenced data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding and application of adult learning concepts with professional development delivery
  • Detail oriented and ability to work well in a changing environment
  • Desire to integrate AI and emerging technologies to continuously improve training methods

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all correspondence (emails, chat messages, etc.) within 48hrs of receipt
  • Regularly attend monthly consultant meetings
  • Have flexible availability for training at least 6-8 days per month (as this position is a part-time, hourly position based on customer need there is no guarantee of hours assigned)
  • Ability to travel as needed for onsite trainings; some international travel may be required
  • Willingness to complete additional projects as requested (training content development, content review, large project assistance)
