The PRN position was created to provide additional coverage across the system to help with staffing shortages, PTO coverage, admin time, sick leave, and demands of high census. Locations: HPMC, LMC, DMC, WMC, and AHWFBMC Schedule: PRN APP will follow early/late protocol at each specific site Supervising Physician: must be privileged and payor enrolled at all AHWFB sites. Reporting: The PRN APP will report to the APP Manager. Determining location/schedule The PRN APP schedule will be made every three (3) months as a collaboration between APP Manager and Scheduler (QGenda) to help cover open shifts across all sites. All efforts will be made to minimize the number of different services or locations each week. Attention will be given to try and ensure at least two (2) days in a row on a particular rounding service and less than two (2) different locations in a given week. PRN APP schedule will be subject to change for callouts, emergencies, or high census. Any change will be communicated to the PRN APP no later than 6 pm the day prior. Swing shifts: PRN APP is subject to assignment to Swing shift. If scheduled to work a Swing shift, PRN APP will not be scheduled for day shift the following day. Wilkes coverage will receive a $100/shift incentive for coverage. Compensation The PRN APP shift rates are as follows: Any additional compensation given for traveling does not apply to PRN APP. Pay Range $50.05 - $75.10 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master's degree preferred LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Current applicable state Medical Board Medical License Certified by NCCPA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan. Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
