About The Position

UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center's Emergency Department is looking for highly qualified, Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our level 1 trauma center ED. Under general administrative supervision of the Assistant Administrator of ARNPs & PA-Cs, RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: but not limited to: Providing clinical expertise to patients and their families. A resource person for health care providers. Participation in research and teaching programs. General independence and decision-making responsibility. (Under the general guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident, and department Nurse Manager). Guidelines include general policy procedures and practice guidelines established by the department and Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and technical manuals. Work is performed in the Emergency Department 24 Hour/7 days a week.

Requirements

• ARNP’S: Have/Obtain a Washington state Register Nurse (or MSL) and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Licenses to practice in the state of Washington.
• PA’S: Have/Obtain a license to practice as a Physician assistant in the state of Washington and ARNP’s Board Certification by ANCC or AAPP
• PA’s Board Certification from NCCAP
• ARNP’s Graduated from accredited school of nursing program
• PA’s: Graduated form accredited program for Physician Assistant studies.
• ARNP’ and PA’s Prescriptive authority
• ARNP’s and PA’s BLS and ACLS and PALS certification

Benefits

• Sign on Bonus $10,000
• Night premium - $4.50/hour
• Weekend premium - $4.00/hour
