About The Position
The Advanced Authorization Specialist at Atrium Health is responsible for obtaining complex authorizations for various inpatient and outpatient services. This role requires a deep understanding of both commercial and government payors, including their authorization guidelines and medical necessity policies. The specialist will interpret medical records, communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies, and work closely with denial management teams to address and analyze authorization denials.
