About The Position

This position is located at the Milliken Live Oak Plant located in LaGrange, GA. The position is responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts at the site. It plays a key role in the development and implementation of manufacturing process improvements that drive new performance levels, improve quality, consistency and cost.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Manufacturing experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and familiar with LEAN manufacturing, FMEA and Process Hazards Analysis, Process Control Systems
Prior experience in analyzing capital investments

Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of all factors and conditions that impact the processes and products, including environmental impacts
Identify and implement equipment and process changes
Create and maintain procedures in accordance with ISO9001
Use sound project management skills to manage multiple improvement projects
Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills and focused improvement methods
Incorporate creative thinking into the problem solving approach to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
Prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
Work closely with the Product Development area to create new samples and products
Work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
Participate fully in the Safety Process
Respond to after hour calls regarding process and equipment (nights and weekends)
