About The Position

Adult Primary Therapist Monte Nido Chicago Winfield, IL Our charming Monte Nido Chicago Residential Living location offers evidence-based eating disorder treatments that restore physical and nutritional well-being, promote healthy eating and exercise habits, and address harmful behaviors. Our goal is to equip clients with a deep understanding of their eating disorder and develop skills that support the recovery journey. Monte Nido Chicago is hiring for full-time Adult Therapist , Our program is a residential program serving 12 clients. We support adults on the path to full recovery by preparing each adult to navigate the challenges of life free of the eating disorder. We provide the empathy, education, and support to families as partners in the recovery process. We help each adolescent to replace the eating disorder with healthy skills and a deep understanding of how to live a life that reflects their own unique individuality. Schedule: Full-Time Sunday-Thursday schedule Salary: $56,000-$70,000/yr #LI-ONSITE

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in clinical counseling or related discipline
  • Illinois independent license (or associate license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LSW, LPC-A, etc.)
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to support clients throughout treatment
  • Serve as a liaison with families and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management.
  • Contribute to discharge and aftercare planning to support clients’ ongoing recovery.
  • Facilitate therapeutic meal support by modeling a healthy relationship with food, guiding clients through exposures, and helping them build confidence in challenging eating situations.
  • Implement exposure therapy interventions, such as supported dining out or grocery shopping, to help clients confront fear foods and reduce avoidance behaviors.
  • Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and intersecting identities.
