Adult Sports Official
About The Position
The City of Saratoga Springs currently has openings for Adult Sports Officials; these are part-time positions with the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department of approximately five to ten hours per week. This is a continuous recruitment and collected applications will be reviewed when more employees are needed for a program. These positions are responsible to act as the official at adult sports, games, or events. Experience officiating one or more of the following preferred: basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball. These positions are under the supervision of the Recreation Director and the Recreation Site Supervisors. The Recreation Department will try to provide the successful applicant with opportunities to grow and progress within the department.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older
- general sport knowledge gained by playing, officiating or coaching preferred
- training will be provided
Nice To Haves
- Experience officiating one or more of the following preferred: basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball.
Responsibilities
- Officiate adult sports games
- Know the rules to the game officiating
