About The Position

Mountain Recreation provides a dynamic and engaging environment for both participants and staff—one that promotes skill development, movement, life skills, and fun! We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who excel in teamwork, demonstrate strong communication, and exemplify our core values in every interaction. Mountain Recreation is looking for referees for our adult soccer league on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7-10 pm. Games are all played at Edwards Field House. Any prior officiating experience highly preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year previous work-related experience with rules and regulations, or specific sport required to do the job and safety guidelines related to assignment, OR any satisfactory combination of experience and training.
• May require possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior officiating experience.

Responsibilities

• Officiate sporting events, games, or competitions.
• Maintain standards of play and ensure that game rules are observed.
• Interpret and enforce district and Eagle County rules and policies.
• Resolve claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants and assess any necessary penalties, according to district regulations.
• Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
• Attend the administrative requirements necessary for the successful staging of the game.
• Complete accident, statistical and related reports as required.
• Attend all necessary district trainings and official clinics related to the position.
• Be aware of facility safety hazards and handle them as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
