About The Position

The Adult Recovery Coach coordinates and directly provides covered behavioral health services to address individual client needs. Serving as an active and facilitating member of the client’s Adult Recovery Team (ART), this role delivers services individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Adult Recovery Coach provides case management, education, system navigation, advocacy, and ongoing support to promote recovery, stability, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of experience; or Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Psychology, or unrelated field with 1 year of experience in the mental health field; or Master’s degree in Social Services or related field without Arizona state licensing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Must meet safe driver requirements
  • Current Arizona State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  • Personal vehicle liability insurance and vehicle registration as required
  • Ability to pass criminal background clearance, drug screen, and physical exam if requested
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health system processes, practices, and components
  • Ability to instruct clients in child development, home management, personal problem solving, accessing community services, domestic violence supports, appropriate discipline and childcare techniques, and age-appropriate parenting skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and crisis plans
  • Facilitate the Adult Recovery Team (ART)
  • Assist clients in navigating the behavioral health system
  • Aid clients in identifying and developing natural supports
  • Support clients in following through on prescribed medical interventions and diagnostic testing
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to create crisis intervention plans tailored to client needs
  • Assess and address barriers to health and wellness
  • Ensure services, procedures, and documentation are culturally relevant, linguistically appropriate, and gender responsive, including for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) individuals
  • Ensure clients are seen according to contract requirements
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Complete required job-related trainings according to state and contractual guidelines
  • Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of staff and clients at all times
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for children, parents, and families
  • Treat others with respect, confront negative behavior appropriately, and support constructive feedback
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, including individual supervision and team meetings
