About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Adult Primary Care Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. Requirements

  • Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Active or eligible for a NYS License
  • Cultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required
  • Must have experience teaching Residents and managing Resident led primary care patient panels

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with an underserved patient population preferred
  • Spanish or Cantonese language proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Attend to a direct patient panel of adult primary care patients.
  • Attend to Resident led patient panels, providing teaching and clinical guidance to Residents.
  • Ensure patient/provider continuity and access to timely and appropriate levels of care.
  • Educate, mentor, and supervise Residents and Medical Students.
  • Work collaboratively with mid-level providers.
  • Participate in system-wide performance improvement and quality management projects, as needed.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $236,000 (board eligible); $241,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
