About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Adult Primary Care Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. Requirements

Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine
Active or eligible for a NYS License
Cultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required
Must have experience teaching Residents and managing Resident led primary care patient panels

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with an underserved patient population preferred
Spanish or Cantonese language proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

Attend to a direct patient panel of adult primary care patients.
Attend to Resident led patient panels, providing teaching and clinical guidance to Residents.
Ensure patient/provider continuity and access to timely and appropriate levels of care.
Educate, mentor, and supervise Residents and Medical Students.
Work collaboratively with mid-level providers.
Participate in system-wide performance improvement and quality management projects, as needed.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $236,000 (board eligible); $241,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
