About The Position

Belmont Behavioral Hospital is a premiere provider of comprehensive treatment for mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Having been in operation for over 75 years as one of the most prominent providers of behavioral healthcare treatment services, Belmont is proud to offer high quality and specialized programming options for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who are suffering from psychiatric concerns and chemical dependency. Belmont currently has an opening for a full-time therapist for our adult partial outpatient program. The Primary Therapist will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and will diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective or behavioral.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other therapeutic field.
• Four or more years’ experience as a therapist.
• Two or more years’ experience with the specific population of the facility.
• State or national licensure for professional therapy providers.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing treatment to a caseload of patients as the primary therapist for the Adult PHP.
• Conduct one-to-one psychotherapy sessions.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Complete required documentation including progress notes and treatment plans for each patient.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the needs of patients.
• Provide services to all levels of care in Outpatient Services as directed by the Chief Clinical Officer.
• Gain training and experience in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
