About The Position

Belmont Behavioral Hospital is a premiere provider of comprehensive treatment for mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Having been in operation for over 75 years as one of the most prominent providers of behavioral healthcare treatment services, Belmont is proud to offer high quality and specialized programming options for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who are suffering from psychiatric concerns and chemical dependency. Belmont currently has an opening for a full-time therapist for our adult partial outpatient program. The Primary Therapist will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and will diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective or behavioral.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other therapeutic field is required.
• Four or more years' experience as a therapist with two or more years' experience with the specific population of the facility is required.
• State or national licensure for professional therapy providers required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Function as the primary therapist for the Adult PHP providing ongoing treatment to a caseload of patients.
• Provide one-to-one psychotherapy as well as facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Complete the required documentation including progress notes and treatment plans on each patient.
• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team that supports the needs of patients.
• Provide service to all levels of care in Outpatient Services.
• Gain training and experience in evidence-based practices for children, adolescents, and adults including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
