About The Position

BayCare's Adult Med/surg RN Residency Program is a 12-month program tailored to equip new graduate RNs with hands-on experience, while providing the necessary support and guidance for a smooth transition into their professional roles. As a resident, you will build confidence through collaboration with your preceptor and participation in workshops that emphasize patient safety, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, among other skills. Throughout the residency, we pledge ongoing support during your inaugural year of practice, with dedicated educators committed to delivering outstanding, personalized care throughout the duration of the program.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license (or Graduate Nurse Letter from the Board of Nursing)
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on experience in various medical/surgical units.
• Collaborate with preceptors to build confidence in nursing skills.
• Engage in workshops focused on patient safety and critical thinking.
• Provide evidence-based care to patients.
