While performing the duties of this job, the employee typically works in a business office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. THIS IS A TWO-YEAR GRANT-FUNDED POSITION. Essential Job Functions 1. Provides the essential adult learner student services by being knowledgeable about campus and community resources, navigating services and supporting adult learners both on and off campus. 2. Provides proactive mentoring and coaching for students to work toward successful completion of their academic success plans. 3. Conducts needs assessments of students and coordinates the development and implementation of action and educational plans for each student, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on students' academic progress, intervening with appropriate support services when necessary, and referring to appropriate internal and community-based support services as needed. 4. Works collaboratively with the Office of Institutional Research to conduct appropriate community outreach and engagement for evaluation of area needs. 5. Advocates for the needs and interests of the adult learner population both on campus and within the community. 6. Maintains electronic enrollment notes for all students and using information in the CRM system to support students appropriately. 7. Assists in ensuring the success of academic support across campus by referring academic concerns/barriers and connecting students to appropriate academic resources including tutoring, Disability Services, mental health services, emergency support, Writing Center, and other program opportunities. 8. Develops and implements procedures for intake, monitoring, and assessment of student progress in accordance with program and grant guidelines. Tracks and maintains department expenditure activities and verifies against the grant budget. 9. Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. 10. Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed by the supervisor. 11. Executes responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the College's policies, which includes the Code of Ethics. 12. Contributes to the overall success of Division of Student Success by performing other duties as assigned.
