Provide direct inpatient medical care in collaboration with hospitalist physicians, including admission assessments, daily progress notes, and discharge planning. Directly admit patients coming into the medical center via the Emergency Department. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in hospitalized adult patients. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate closely with nursing, specialists, and support services to optimize patient outcomes. Respond to clinical changes, participate in rapid response efforts, and manage urgent patient needs as appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record. Facilitate safe and effective transitions of care, including patient and family education. Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy in a fast-paced acute care environment. Four 9-hour shifts per week, primarily day shift hours, weekend and holiday rotation.
