About The Position

The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is seeking a full-time Lecturer for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program. The successful candidate will serve as the Associate Course Director for the undergraduate course on Nursing of Older Adults and will also teach in multiple AGACNP courses. This role emphasizes the importance of education in nursing, particularly in the context of caring for older adults, and is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the educational environment.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania.
• Content and practice expertise in the care of older adults.
• Experience teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels of nursing students.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in curriculum development for nursing education.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Associate Course Director for the undergraduate course N2550 Nursing of Older Adults.
• Teach extensively in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program.
• Serve as the Associate Course Director for courses N6700, N6710, and N6720 in the AGACNP program.
• Provide mentorship and support to nursing students in understanding racial equity and social justice.
• Engage in scholarship and service that promotes diversity and inclusion.
