About The Position

Tempus Unlimited, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities. This Supervisor for Adult Foster Care (AFC) program within Community Services offers: support, training, and coaching to caregivers and program members. The AFC program provides a home-based care setting for individuals who need assistance with daily living activities, and the supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the care provided.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of recent experience working with people who are elderly or disabled.
  • Ability to supervise and direct staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – telephone skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Good computer and analytical skills.
  • Innovative thinking.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the care managers/nurses in the community.
  • Conduct site visits to consumer homes and produce proper quality feedback/reports according to manager’s guidance.
  • Offer input to annual performance evaluations.
  • Provide monitoring and oversight for efficiencies with all referrals in AFC.
  • Lead and assist with program team meeting.
  • Support and train staff during the orientation processes or initial planning meeting to ensure proper efficiencies in services.
  • Support Community Living Program Manager as assigned.
  • Monitor LTSS process to ensure accuracy and timely submittals.
  • Assign caseloads.
  • Provide supervision to nurses and care managers.
  • Handle member or caregiver complaints.
  • Support new program development and implementation with program.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
