About The Position

He/she is responsible for the successful transfer of knowledge to students in the subject area for which hired. The instructor will be responsible for ensuring a syllabus, learning objectives, lesson plans, instructional materials, tools, equipment and supplies are available to perform the required instruction. The instructor will coordinate with the adult education administrators and staff to ensure grades, attendance and other sundry required information is available for student records. Ensure students are adequately prepared to sit for certification/licensing examinations as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry-specific experience.
• Current and valid certification credential or State License as required in the area of instruction.
• For those not licensed or certified, a minimum of 10 years of experience and willingness to obtain certification.
• Proven capability to problem-solve.
• Strong time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and quickly.
• Record of excellent attendance.
• Professional tact and diplomacy.

Nice To Haves

• Reside or work in Medina County.
• Previous experience in education.
• Associates degree or higher.
• Experience working within a budget.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a syllabus, learning objectives, lesson plans, instructional materials, tools, equipment and supplies are available for instruction.
• Coordinate with adult education administrators and staff regarding grades, attendance, and other required information.
• Prepare students for certification/licensing examinations.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Organize and communicate curriculum, lesson plans, and learning objectives effectively.
• Prepare correspondence to all stakeholders.
• Operate various office machines.
• Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
