About The Position
The Adult Education Department at Gwinnett Technical College is currently accepting applications for a full-time ESL instructor. This position will provide English instruction to multi-levels of English Language Learners working to improve their competency levels in the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. This job is a 40-hour, full-time benefitted position in the Adult Education Division that reports to the ESL Director. Schedule - Will include Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings and Saturdays dependent on enrollment. Courses offered in-person and virtually. Morning classes are from 9:00 - 12:30 PM. Evening classes are from 6:00 - 9:30 PM. Afternoon classes are from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Saturday classes are from 9:00 - 3:30 PM. Flexibility is required and schedule can change each semester. Full time instructors teach 28 hours of classes each week and utilize the remaining 12 hours for testing, registration, orientation, planning and other departmental duties as needed. Split shifts are required.
