About The Position

The per diem Activities Assistant supports the Adult Day Center by helping plan and lead engaging programs that promote social, cognitive, and physical well-being for participants. This role assists with activity set-up, participation, and clean-up while ensuring a safe, supportive, hands-on peri care, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with ADC team to ensure safety of clients, at all times.
  • Interact with clients in a professional and positive manner.
  • Treat clients with respect, kindness, patience; helping to maintain clients' dignity.
  • Assist clients who are unsteady with walking.
  • Able lift 5 to 10 pounds.
  • Provide hands-on assistance for clients, including personal care as needed.
  • Participate in leading activities/program at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
  • Participate in organization and coordination of activities/projects at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
  • Assist during lunchtime to ensure calm, orderly flow of dining experience for clients.
  • Promote ADC in the community whenever possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
