Adult Day Care Aide - Per Diem, Day Shift
About The Position
Centered in the heart of San Joaquin County, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1952. We are comprised of a 190-bed hospital, 17 medical offices, home care services, comprehensive cancer care and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout Lodi and the surrounding areas. Job Summary: Provides a safe, stimulating environment for program participants. Formulates, carries out and updates individual participant care plans. Initiates activities to achieve goals of the care plans. Demonstrates competency in caring for older adults and the geriatric client.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Experience as a home care or hospital nurse's aide: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Initiates activities to keep clients active at all times. Remains aware of whereabouts of clients at all times to avoid wandering, falls or injuries.
- Updates client care plans as required.
- Maintains attendance records and statistics.
- Orders and maintains supplies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
