About The Position

Comply with all MTC policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety and emergency procedures, requirements of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) and other regulatory agencies. Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations and assist in the coordination and development of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with funding and regulatory standards. Work flexible hours and perform additional duties as requested or required to support and promote the Day Program and strategic vision of MTC. Diagnoses problems quickly, foresees potential issues, and delivers resolution. Communication with WSC’s, family members, etc. are directed to the Validation Coordinator if it is regarding documentation, attendance, follow up. Verify the attendance sheets in Iconnect and forward to the ADT Manager. Maintain a basic understanding of MTC’s Annual Programmatic Budget for Day Program and assist with ensuring services are operating within assigned budget parameters and resources are managed by MTC policies and procedures. Collect programmatic and attendance data to complete program outcome/progress reports. Complete and submit all ongoing documentation of services provided, required quarterly and annual progress reporting, and annual client paperwork (such as satisfaction surveys and consent packets) according to established deadlines. Maintain communication with individual and their supports to ensure continuity of care and satisfaction, discuss and support progress, and address any concerns or grievances. Maintain client files in an orderly manner and participate in ongoing quality assurance monitoring of programmatic files as well as preparing for and participating in service audits. Serves as back-up in absence of DSPs, provides coverage in classrooms, breaks, etc. Perform transportation, community inclusion, and cleaning duties as needed or assigned. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while building positive rapport. Treat everyone with civility, kindness, active listening, and professionalism, even in challenging situations. Maintains a collaborative work environment and works well with others. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 2 years of documented practical experience in working with adults with disabilities or cognitive/functional impairments is required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • In lieu of direct experience, a bachelor’s degree will suffice.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Must possess and maintain a current/valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal/and instructional skills, and ability to provide quality customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and task management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities, the person-centered model for service delivery, personal outcomes, and the ability to apply differentiated education, instruction, and training to persons of varying ability levels.
  • Ability to work in self-directed and teamwork environments.
  • Ability to model appropriate interaction/engagement and implement programs, activities, and experiences in the same manner.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations for Adult Day Training (LDS3) services and compliance requirements for annual audits.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
  • Must pass Level II background screening /fingerprinting, Drug Screening, and MVR check.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
