ADS Specialist
About The Position
As the ADS Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating the program's scheduled activities and assisting participants with their needs. Assistance required includes scheduled activities, activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting and showering, and completion of required agency documentation. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- First Aid and CPR Certification
Nice To Haves
- CNA is not required, but is a perk.
- Experience working with older adults or adults with physical or cognitive impairments is preferred.
- Creative and detail-oriented, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Collaborative and team-focused.
- Willing to learn and take initiative.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for facilitating activity groups as scheduled and for getting participants to and from assigned activities.
- Responsible for performing personal care, including toileting and showers as needed, housekeeping, and dietary responsibilities.
- Ensure shift duties are completed, and service quality is maintained in accordance with Active Generations standards.
- Responsible for maintaining participant records, including monthly charting and incident reporting.
- Responsible for assisting with participants’ nutritional needs while at Day Break, staff are to be aware of each participant's dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with the management team to assess participant needs and contribute to care plans.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding participant changes and concerns.
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, and confidentiality for all participants and staff.
- Adherent to professional boundaries and service excellence standards
- Participate in professional development through staff meetings, in-services, and relevant educational opportunities.
