The Adoption and Permanency Specialist at Adoption Rhode Island plays a crucial role in supporting youth and families involved in the public child welfare system. This full-time position focuses on child-centered adoption recruitment, ensuring that children waiting for adoption are represented accurately and positively. The specialist will maintain updated photographs and profiles of these children, utilizing a strength-based approach to engage families and communities in the recruitment process. The role also involves documenting all necessary client records and reports in compliance with HIPAA standards, ensuring that all interactions and progress are accurately recorded. The specialist will actively participate in community education efforts related to adoption and permanency, working to remove barriers to permanency through advocacy and support. This includes leading agency and community education initiatives, collaborating with other organizations to provide joint training opportunities, and utilizing data collection and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for program development.
