About The Position

The position involves managing the day-to-day healthcare operations of a community to ensure that residents' healthcare needs are met. The role requires ensuring that residents are treated with respect and dignity while providing quality care as their healthcare needs change. The manager will ensure consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts, which may involve taking on the responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements. Additionally, the manager will assist in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers, providing ongoing training and education to Caregivers, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. The role also includes managing associates' schedules and overseeing the continuity and consistency of medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision and/or administration in the community. Periodic Care Associate medication skills inventory checks and medication audits will be conducted as per Brookdale Guidelines, and the manager will share on-call duties as required.

Requirements

  • Education as required to obtain state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.
  • LPN or LVN license.
