Adolescent Therapist Qualifications: ● Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required) ● Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required) ● One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients. (required) ● Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets. ● Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity. ● Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions. Adolescent Therapist Expectations: ● Provide direct support services, including individual and group therapy. ● Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans. ● Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans. ● Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management. ● Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment. ● Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients. ● Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).
