About The Position
We are seeking an Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our adolescent residential treatment program in Illinois. This hybrid position combines on-site clinical leadership with virtual flexibility and offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment environment serving adolescents with complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate brings inpatient psychiatric experience , comfort working with chronically mentally ill populations , and a strong understanding of treatment within a structured residential milieu. Requirements
- MD or DO , licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience in inpatient or residential psychiatric treatment , preferably with adolescents
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to integrate individual treatment into a residential milieu
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and clinical teams
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adolescents in a residential treatment setting
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric services
- Lead or designate participation in weekly interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Review, recommend, and approve psychiatric and medical policies and procedures annually
- Provide program-wide consultation regarding psychiatric illness and chemical dependency
- Ensure accurate same-day clinical documentation
- Support medical records compliance and regulatory standards
- Act on behalf of the Medical Staff in emergency patient care situations as needed
- Maintain 24/7 phone accessibility to clinical staff and coordinate coverage during planned absences
- Participate in professional development, education, and program outreach as appropriate
