About The Position

Cook Children’s Health Care Position is accepting applications for a full time Adolescent Medicine Physician. This physician will launch Cook Children’s Adolescent Medicine service to provide care for teens and young adults with eating disorders. This physician will also co-manage anxiety, depression and other health conditions and provide a weight inclusive approach. The physician will also work closely with other clinicians in nutrition and psychology to provide comprehensive care to the patients and families. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required
  • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics and for Adolescent Medicine
  • Must be Board eligible/Board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
  • Eligible to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License before employment commences
  • Must be American Heart Association BLS certified

Responsibilities

  • Launch Cook Children’s Adolescent Medicine service
  • Provide care for teens and young adults with eating disorders
  • Co-manage anxiety, depression and other health conditions
  • Provide a weight inclusive approach
  • Work closely with other clinicians in nutrition and psychology to provide comprehensive care to the patients and families
