About The Position

Admitting Representative at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Portland, OR. The Registrar is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
  • 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business office setting.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • 3 years of utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
  • Knowledge in medical billing codes.
  • 1 year of knowledge of Epic applications.

Responsibilities

  • Secure appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information.
  • Ensure documentation is timely and accurate.
