About The Position

The Patient Access Representative performs all admissions activities for pre-admit and face-to-face registration of patients presenting to the Main Admissions and/or outpatient areas for treatment. Facilitates patient access to Mee Memorial and ensures a smooth and efficient registration process. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and support to patients and their families during their visit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical billing and coding.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and regulations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-admit and face-to-face registration of patients.
  • Facilitate patient access to treatment areas.
  • Ensure accurate collection of patient information and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
