About The Position

The position is full-time with specific working hours on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 Year Relevant Customer Service experience.
• 2 Years Professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred upon hire.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in medical terminology and Epic software.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and their families upon arrival, putting them at ease.
• Accurately gather complete demographic information for electronic health records.
• Identify correct network coverage and validate healthcare benefits for tests and procedures.
• Educate patients and families about legal, ethical, and compliance documents.
• Prepare estimates for co-payments, self-pay deposits, and patient balances.
• Complete required elements for payor and government regulations.
• Maintain customer service and productivity guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain daily Epic work queue and personal Employee Scorecard Dashboard.
• Communicate with patients about insurance plans and potential financial implications.
