About The Position

The Social Media Student Assistant works to engage prospective students through social media. Primary responsibilities will be to produce content and monitor comments and messages across social media platforms. This person will engage our audience ensuring consistency in message and creating a strong community around the Illinois State University brand.

Nice To Haves

• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to create compelling content through a variety of media for the purpose of engaging prospective students.
• Comfort with basic graphic design is a plus, including familiarity with programs such as Canva or Adobe Express.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others toward a common goal of serving the University and its students.
• Previous social media community management is helpful.
