The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse responsible for prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and established standards of care and practices. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process
• Pass a medication administration exam
• Complete a basic developmental competency exam

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility
