Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater is a freestanding, full service 144-bed psychiatric hospital specializing in successful treatment of acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. Located in beautiful, picturesque Clearwater, Florida, the hospital is conveniently located and accessible 24 hours/day for admissions. Treatment programs and specialty services include substance abuse, dual diagnosis / rapid stabilization, 24-hour mental health assessment and partial hospitalization. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, BLS.
• CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment.
• Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, OSHA and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Perform assessments including mental health needs.
• Develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician.
• Ensure safety and provide consistent therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
