About The Position

The Admissions Representative at Stanbridge University plays a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process. The representative is responsible for establishing rapport with prospective students, presenting program details, and coordinating admissions activities with other university departments.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two or more years of experience in admissions in higher education or customer relations in business.
  • Ability to meet the minimum requirements of accrediting, state, and federal agencies for education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of institutional, accrediting, state, and federal standards for higher education.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Proficiency in using current computer technology systems in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all phone, internet, and in-person inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish rapport with prospective students during interactions by answering questions and setting up appointments for interviews.
  • Create a friendly and professional atmosphere during interviews by providing clear and accurate information about programs and the admissions process.
  • Present accurate information about program content, academic requirements, and employment prospects for graduates.
  • Disseminate current advertising and promotional media to prospective students during the admissions process.
  • Evaluate the educational and employment background of prospective students to determine program suitability.
  • Convey results of admissions examinations to prospective students and assist in rescheduling retake examinations as necessary.
  • Coordinate admissions activities with financial aid, student services, and educational programs.
  • Enter data on leads, calls, emails, appointments, interviews, and enrollments as required.
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Admissions about the admissions process.
  • Establish and meet performance goals related to customer service and enrollment.
  • Attend departmental meetings and university events as required.
  • Foster an educational environment conducive to learning and professionalism.
  • Adhere to accrediting, federal, and state agency requirements and university policies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all university constituencies.
