About The Position

This is a PRN position with opportunities to pick up shifts on day (7am - 3:30pm), evening (3pm - 11:30pm), or overnight (11pm - 7:30am) shifts on weekdays or weekends. Arbour Hospital is an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. Requirements

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts
  • Education: BSN Preferred
  • Experience: 2 years of psychiatric experience required
  • Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission
  • Process inquiry and referral calls and respond to request for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission
  • Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources
