About The Position

The Assessment & Referral Counselor is responsible for managing incoming inquiry calls and walk-ins, providing crisis intervention, triaging as needed, completing assessments, and providing referrals if necessary. This role requires close interaction with medical staff, treatment teams, and managed care organizations. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field; or be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Indiana
• Computer proficiency
• Good listening and communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good time management skills
• Have the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Incoming inquiry calls and walk ins
• Crisis Intervention
• Triage as needed
• Completes assessments and provides referrals if necessary
• Interface closely with Medical Staff, Treatment Team, and Managed Care Organizations
