The Admissions & Records Ambassador position at Glendale Community College is a part-time, temporary role designed to assist new and continuing students with various aspects of admissions, records, and registration functions. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Welcome Desk and Enrollment Center lobby, emphasizing exceptional customer service, quick response times, and effective referrals to related student service areas. The ambassador will be responsible for updating student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable laws, policies, and regulations. In addition to direct student support, the role involves working collaboratively within a team environment, attending meetings, and providing functional support for the Admissions and Records management team. The ambassador may also serve on committees or be assigned tasks related to document imaging records, as well as composing, editing, and preparing correspondence. The position also includes assisting with small group campus tours, preparing materials, and facilitating tours for new and prospective students. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
