About The Position

The Admissions Officer II at the University of Florida is responsible for managing recruitment efforts and territories, contributing to the admissions process, and engaging with prospective students and educational institutions. Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in extensive travel to local high schools, state colleges, college fairs, and special programs.
  • Coordinate and execute recruitment efforts in the assigned geographical territory under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions.
  • Represent UF by hosting information sessions to large audiences virtually and in person.
  • Interact with local high school counselors and state college advisors to promote enrollment opportunities.
  • Meet with prospective students, parents, and school counselors to answer questions about UF.
  • Plan and schedule yield events and other recruitment activities to serve the university's constituents.
  • Actively contribute to general admissions counseling.
  • Participate in the freshmen application review process.
  • Address general inquiries related to UF Admission policies and processes through phone, email, and virtual platforms.
  • Assist with program and event coordination to recruit and yield prospective and newly admitted students.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the office on office-wide recruitment initiatives.
  • Conduct administrative duties necessary for attachment to the campus office.
  • Participate in conferences and professional development training.
