As our Admissions Nurse, you’ll combine strong clinical expertise with compassionate communication, guiding residents and families through the admissions process while supporting overall nursing leadership. Requirements

  • Current Iowa RN license (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in long-term care, admissions, or discharge planning preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on resident-centered care
  • Leadership potential and interest in advancing into broader nursing management roles

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of resident admissions, from pre-admission assessments to move-in day.
  • Serve as a primary contact for residents, families, and referral sources—providing guidance and support throughout the transition process.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized care plans are in place from day one.
  • Support the Director of Nursing with select leadership functions, including staff mentoring, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Step in as a clinical leader when needed, gaining valuable ADON-level experience.
