About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Admissions Intake Specialist to join our team. This role involves facilitating admissions, conducting clinical intake assessments, and coordinating the utilization review process to ensure appropriate care for patients. You will play a key role in guiding patients through the admissions process while collaborating with internal teams and external referral sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) required
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment is preferred.
• Familiarity with managed care, level-of-care assessments, and utilization reviews is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial screenings and ASAM assessments to determine eligibility and level of care.
• Facilitate admissions, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes.
• Coordinate with nursing and counseling teams to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation to secure insurance authorizations and funding.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, referral sources, and the clinical team.
• Support new admission procedures and provide facility orientation to patients.
• Maintain relationships with community partners and referral sources.
• Demonstrate empathy and professionalism, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
