The primary purpose of this job is to support facility operations by increasing the facility census. This role involves managing the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff. Key responsibilities include planning, directing, and monitoring the daily operations of the Admissions Department to meet budgeted resident census goals and ensure professional and efficient admissions. The Admissions Director will admit patients, screen them against admission criteria, complete necessary admission and financial responsibility forms, and work collaboratively with leaders of other facility departments. The position also entails confirming insurance benefit coverage, coordinating support services, obtaining applicant information, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of facility services, overseeing bed assignments, and completing preliminary paperwork. Additionally, the Director will initiate and maintain contacts with referral sources, attend daily stand-up meetings, ensure confidentiality of resident information, and assist in planning and executing outreach events.
