About The Position

The Admissions Counselor at Indiana University East is responsible for meeting enrollment goals within a designated geographical area by marketing the university's academic programs. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Meet enrollment goals within the assigned geographical area.
  • Market the university's academic programs through presentations, campus visits, and various communication channels.
  • Participate in recruitment activities on campus, including personal interviews, tours, and open houses.
  • Manage geographic territories and assist in developing recruiting and marketing materials.
  • Schedule and perform recruitment presentations at schools and college fairs.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret historical territory-specific data to determine funnel trends.
  • Develop and implement individualized recruitment plans with appropriate objectives and strategies.
  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive travel plan for recruitment activities.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from students and parents, connecting them with university resources.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of degree programs, requirements, and policies.
  • Evaluate applicant credentials and conduct honest conversations regarding enrollment possibilities.
  • Create a file of most-desired prospective students based on evaluations and recommendations.
  • Advise denied applicants about course transferability and transition issues.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities and participate in campus events as needed.
  • Conduct counseling interviews with admitted students and family members.
  • Integrate services for special populations into recruitment programs.
  • Tailor private visits to meet individual needs of visitors.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Admission Ambassador program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
