As an Admissions Counselor at OPI Houston, you’ll be the first voice families and individuals hear when they reach out for help, often during moments of crisis. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
  • Comfort working with families and individuals in emotionally charged or high‑stress situations
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities simultaneously
  • Results‑driven mindset with a passion for helping others access care

  • Preferred experience in behavioral health admissions, healthcare intake, or related fields

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, families, and referral partners, delivering a warm and professional first impression
  • Convert inbound leads into qualified admissions by guiding individuals through screening, intake, and enrollment
  • Assess clinical and financial appropriateness while following all admissions policies and procedures
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, leadership, and marketing teams to ensure smooth and timely admissions
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in CRM and EMR systems
  • Consistently meet or exceed admissions, lead conversion, and enrollment goals
  • Participate in tours, outreach, and referral relationship‑building as needed
