About The Position

The Temporary Admissions Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the college's recruitment and enrollment efforts. This position focuses on working directly with prospective students and applicants, guiding them through the admissions and financial aid process—from inquiry and application to enrollment. The ideal candidate is student-centered, detail-oriented, and committed to helping students achieve their educational goals. Specifically, the Temporary Admissions Counselor reviews applications and guides prospective students through the enrollment process, communicates regularly with prospective students and families to provide guidance on the admissions and financial aid process, follows up with students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information, keeping a good relationship with them until enrollment, tracks applicants' progress accurately in the CRM system (Jenzabar), ensuring data integrity and up-to-date documentation, provides clear and engaging information about college programs, support services, and career pathways, creates a welcome environment for students, families, and community members, and works collaboratively with other admissions counselors, as well as financial aid and student success colleagues, to keep students and families front and center.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • Prior admissions experience a plus.
