About The Position

Evansville Christian School exists to empower students to embrace a Biblical worldview through spiritual and academic growth, servant-leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ The Admissions Coordinator at Evansville Christian School will assist with the overall planning and execution of all functions of the Admissions Office: including, but not limited to new student recruitment, application, enrollment, and retention programs and procedures. The Admissions Coordinator will aid the Director of Admissions in the cyclical preparation and ongoing support of new student admissions, continuous enrollment procedures, and various admissions events. The Admissions Coordinator will maintain applicant, family, and school confidentiality throughout these processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in customer service, communications, or marketing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, and Forms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - As a first point of contact with ECS, admissions department staff must possess warm, engaging, and sensitive communication skills, along with thorough knowledge of ECS programs.
  • Strong attention to detail - The candidate must be able to quickly and thoroughly collect, document, and analyze data from physical documents, online files, and conversations with ECS staff, prospective families, and third parties. In addition, the successful candidate must deploy consistent follow-up activities to bring applications to a successful and timely conclusion.
  • Accurate and articulate written and verbal communication skills - The candidate will be responsible for responding to a variety of requests regarding the admissions process, contacting various sources to request requirements, scheduling tours for prospective families, coordinating final steps for enrollment and on-boarding.
  • Effective time management skills to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Admissions to schedule and coordinate tours and admissions events.
  • Maintain inventory of admission materials and marketing items.
  • Coordinate on-boarding process & events for new parents and students within the first 30 days - including welcome parent email, new student gifts, new parent coffees, new student breakfasts/lunches with principals, etc.
  • Help develop and maintain updated records and processes to manage and communicate with students and families throughout the admissions process.
  • Support the Director of Admissions with the coordination, administration, placement testing, and review of all new student applications and their required application materials.
  • Communicate with inquiring and applying families regarding ECS’s admissions timeline, application materials, important deadlines, and their status in the application and enrollment process.
  • Coordinate placement testing sessions with testing proctor and communicate the schedule and requirements to applicants.
  • Coordinate and schedule shadowing visits for prospective students, as needed.
  • Schedule partnership meetings with principals for applicants and parents.
  • Assist with updating information statistical reports regarding inquiries, applicants, currently enrolled, and withdrawn students.
  • Additional duties as assigned and related to Advancement Department projects.
