About The Position

As an Admissions Coordinator at our Richmond location, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help. This role is critical in creating a welcoming, supportive, and organized admissions experience while helping patients take their first steps toward recovery. You will coordinate intake services, verify benefits, and support care planning to ensure a smooth and compassionate admission process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of intake or admissions experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting

Nice To Haves

• Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
• Three (3) years of intake or admissions experience in behavioral healthcare

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions and discharges for patients
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• Assist with utilization review and billing‑related issues
• Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and other fees at admission, during treatment, or at discharge
• Arrange patient payment plans as needed
• Serve as a liaison to patients regarding insurance benefits and coverage
• Schedule and complete admission assessments and required documentation
• Attend team meetings and complete required training in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
