About The Position
Umpqua Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven part-time Admissions Coordinator to join our team to support weekend coverage! We are part of Volare Health, a network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across multiple states. At Umpqua Valley, we create a welcoming and supportive environment for our residents, their families, and our dedicated staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in healthcare management, marketing, or related field.
- Previous experience as a CNA or healthcare worker strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC, PCC, or similar EMR systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate room readiness with nursing, maintenance, and housekeeping teams.
- Review and manage admissions referrals through EPIC, AIDA, and faxed systems.
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming admissions experience for residents and families.
- Collaborate with the admissions director, DON, and administrator to maintain census goals.
- Support customer service, documentation, and regulatory processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and occasional on-call/weekend duties.
