About The Position

Peachford is currently searching for an experienced Call Specialist for our Intake Department. The Call Specialist will assess the needs of callers and patients presenting for assessment and ensure their admission or referral to the service or resource to best address their needs. In addition, Call Specialists ensure referral sources receive appropriate updates on their patients.

Requirements

  • At least one year of intake/assessment experience, preferably in a crisis intervention environment.
  • A master’s degree in a counseling or related field.
  • License-eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone inquiries seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services.
  • Respond to telephone/fax inquiries seeking facility transfers.
  • Obtain admission orders and assign admitting physician.
  • Assist with Clinical assessments.
  • Contact insurance companies/payor sources for authorization.
  • Obtain patient and other required signatures on applicable forms.
